Welcome to Lincoln County

The county was created by the legislature in April 7, 1870. It was named for Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.

Lincoln County comprises the Brookhaven, MS Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Jackson-Vicksburg-Brookhaven Combined Statistical Area. The county is southwest of the state capital of Jackson. Lincoln County is a great area for industries seeking reasonably priced land, reliable energy resources, great transporation infrastructure, an experienced labor force, high quality of life and modest cost of living. Lincoln County provides ample outdoor opportunities for all adventurers.

We were notified this afternoon to close the following bridge on Pleasant Hill Road located less than 500 feet from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church off Highway 583.  We are evaluating the repairs need
